
Spiced Apple Cake

Ingredients
- 3 Crimson Snow® apples
- 200g butter
- 150g panela sugar
- 4 eggs
- 200g spelt flour
- Pecans
- 1 packet of Royal baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
For the black molasses glaze:
- 150g butter
- 300g powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons black molasses
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180ºC, top and bottom heat.
- Prepare a round, deep cake pan.
Mix the butter and sugar using a mixer. Add the eggs to the mixture and continue mixing. - Incorporate the grated apple, pecans, flour, spices, and salt.
- Pour the mixture into the pan and bake for 35 minutes. Leave to cool.
- To make the glaze, beat the butter and powdered sugar with electric whisk, then add the molasses.
- Spread the glaze over the cake.
